Genre: Adult Contemporary Steamy Romance

Down on her luck, nursing student and full-time waitress Kara Foster gets a massive blow to her already desperate financial situation that will surely find her living on the streets. Needing nothing less than a miracle to save her, Kara gets rescue from an unknown, unlikely and overwhelming source. Billionaire Simon Hudson makes her an offer that is impossible to refuse, but terrifying to accept from a man that she’s never met. Will the handsome, alpha billionaire really be a solution to her problems, or will he end up being a major complication and a danger to her emotional sanity?

Reclusive billionaire Simon Hudson would rather be behind a computer creating computer games than rubbing elbows with the elite and he knows exactly what he wants…until he meets Kara Foster. Something about Kara touches Simon in ways he’s never experienced and definitely doesn’t like. For over a year, Simon watches over Kara, but stubbornly refuses to admit his desire to possess her, not even to himself. But when she ends up in a situation that could very well be her destruction, Simon steps up to help her, not realizing that in saving Kara, he might very well be salvaging his own soul.

“Mine For Tonight” is book one of “The Billionaire’s Obsession” . Books in this trilogy do not stand alone and need to be read in order. They include:

Mine For Tonight – Book 1 “The Billionaire’s Obsession”
Mine For Now – Book 2 “The Billionaire’s Obsession”
Mine Forever – Book 3 “The Billionaire’s Obsession”
and Mine Completely – a Valentine’s Day romance featuring Simon and Kara

WORDS TO LOSE YOURSELF IN

So what’s your favorite line from a book or movie? You know, that one line you can repeat without looking at the book or watching the movie.  Yeah, that one. The first one that came to your mind. Let’s share some of our favorites today. Don’t forget to tell us where the quote came from.

Here are a couple of mine, but there are many more.

“I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don’t notice it” –The Color Purple by Alice Walker

“When I think of you, and you are not there, I see you in my mind’s eye always with a book in your hand.”Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare

“If you find a girl who reads, keep her close. When you find her up at 2am clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her. You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you. She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are…You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable…If you want the world and the worlds beyond it, date a girl who reads.”  –Date A Girl who Reads by Rosemarie Urquico

Catchup time……

Wow, its been an interesting last few weeks. I have been extremely busy and now it’s time to play catchup. I have so many reviews to post and  books to finish reading. Lucky for me I have an extra day off to get it done. So I’ve got to balance some time with the girls, my little girl, and my love of books this weekend. It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in Phoenix so I think it’s time to utilize the patio.

Oh and I also have to say Happy Birthday to my baby brother, who’s not really a baby seeing as he turns 25 today, but still my little

brother. lol

I’m also looking to highlight a few authors within the upcoming weeks.  So today is a semi-relaxtion day……once I get a few things accomplished. TTYL

A busy, busy week……now it’s time to unwind

Wow is all I can say. It’s been a very busy week for me. I’ve been running from one side of town to the next, in the car, out of the car and so forth. So right now I just want to unwind.

So to update you on my week challenge (exercise for 4 days out of the week)……lol it was an epic “FAIL”. There are no excuses, I just didn’t get it done. So now the question is how do you find the time when you are busy as heck???? Any suggestions????? Now I did eat healthier this past week, so does that count?

Any-who…….so today really is all about relaxing so when you’ve had a stressful and busy week what is your best unwind methods?

I’ll start with mine. Today I’m going to have a glass of wine, or two, and get back to reading “The Grave Winner” by Lindsey R. Loucks. So far this has been a very interesting book and I am enjoying it. Want a Synopsis? Heck why not!!!!

Synopsis- Leigh Baxton is terrified her mom will come back from the dead — just like the prom queen did. Single tree in field during winter 2

While the town goes beehive over the news, Leigh bikes to the local cemetery and buries some of her mom’s things in her grave to keep her there. When the hot and mysterious caretaker warns her not to give gifts to the dead, Leigh cranks up her punk music and keeps digging.

She should have listened.

Two dead sorceresses evicted the prom queen from her grave to bury someone who offered certain gifts. Bury them alive, that is, then resurrect them to create a trio of undead powerful enough to free the darkest sorceress ever from her prison inside the earth.

With help from the caretaker and the dead prom queen, Leigh must find out what’s so special about the gifts she gave, and why the sorceresses are stalking her and her little sister. If she doesn’t, she’ll either lose another loved one or have to give the ultimate gift to the dead – herself.

Now this is a YA Paranormal/Fantasy Romance book and I thought I might read it first before I recommend it to my niece who loves paranormal books as well. She told me that she wanted a better variety of these books so I guess it’s my duty to check it out to see if it might be something she likes.  With my love for books I am presently dripping in her to read more but as I know with the children of this generation, it is difficult to get them off the computers, ipods and television to read a book.  I digress….

Back to the mission at hand, time to get my read on and unwind. You’ll see the review for this book posted soon.

“Locked” weekend

Ok, so I know I’m late but it’s been a busy week. Friday was even busier than normal. Anyways I had to post reviews for “The Alpha group” Series by Maya Cross which is up. So technically it was a “locked” weekend. lol I enjoyed the series. So my challenge was to read the book in a weekend (3 days) and I actually got that done last weekend.  So this week I’m challenging myself to work out 4 days in a row and post the results on friday to see if it was accomplished. Whew, this is definitely going to be a challenge. I’m also looking for a new and exciting series to read. If you have suggestions let me know.

The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones

Part of Read-laxation Friday was to hang out with my friend Lorna. I’m such a book reader that I convinced her to watch this movie with me. Now she knows that I read a lot, and I’ve told her that I’ve read every book currently out in this series so I wasn’t too sure how the movie would play out.

Surprisingly enough I truly enjoyed the movie!!! Now we all know that everything from the book can’t fit into a motion film but I was presently surprised at how well they tried to keep to the original story line.

Guess what??!!! Lorna loved it too, she even tweeted about it….lol. I think I just might have to re-read one of my favorite series: Cassandra Clare’s “The Mortal Instruments”. Then again I’m still patiently waiting the next book in the series.
