📚 Before You Submit… A Little Bookish Fine Print
Thank you for considering Trulee V’s Spot for your book review! I genuinely LOVE discovering new authors, new stories, and books that make me laugh, cry, clutch my imaginary pearls, yell at fictional people, or stay up entirely too late saying, “Just one more chapter.” We all know that is a lie. 😂
Please understand that submitting a book review request does not guarantee that your book will be selected or reviewed. My TBR is extensive, slightly disrespectful, and apparently has no concern whatsoever for the fact that there are only 24 hours in a day. Books are selected and read based on my availability, current reading schedule, personal interest, and genre preferences. There is no guaranteed turnaround time for standard review requests.
If your request is connected to an ARC, upcoming release, blog tour, cover/release promotion, or another time-sensitive campaign, please contact me directly by email instead of relying solely on this form, especially when a specific posting or review date is required.
A few important things before hitting submit:
- 📖 All genres are welcome, but books matching my preferred genres, tropes, and reading interests may receive higher consideration.
- ⭐ All reviews and ratings are honest and reflect my personal reading experience and opinion. A complimentary book does not guarantee a positive review, a particular star rating, or promotional praise.
- 💜 Reviews selected through this form are FREE. I do not charge authors simply for the privilege of me reading their book. I read because I genuinely love books, discovering authors, and talking entirely too much about fictional people.
- 📚 Submitting multiple requests does not move a title higher on the TBR. Nice try, though. 😂
- ⏰ Please do not submit a standard request when you need a review by a firm deadline. My reading schedule and your release calendar may not always be on speaking terms.
- ✍🏽 Authors are welcome to provide content warnings, tropes, series information, and anything else that will help me determine whether the book is a good fit.

5 Stars – Amazing! I truly loved the book and everything about it. I would highly recommend it, and do countless re-reads.
4 Stars – Great! I enjoyed the book and it stuck with me. I would recommend to others.
3 ½ Stars – Above Average ! I liked the book and it was good. I would recommend others to try it out and make their own determinations.
3 Stars – Average! The book was between good and “so-so”. I got through it, but it is a book that I can put down and not think about it.
2 ½ Stars – Good! Easy read but I wasn’t drawn in. This is a book that was just missing something.
2 Stars – Nothing to write home about! I finished the book but my interest was not held.
1 Star – DNF (Did Not Finish) – I very rarely give this out but sometimes, I just need to stop.
